Trial Date Set For Murder Accused

A trial date has been set for one of two men charged in the death of 60 year-old Robert Thomas Bradley from Sydney Mines.

41-year-old Stephen Michael Bishop from North Sydney is facing charges of second-degree murder and robbery in the case.

Bishop was committed to stand trial after a preliminary hearing last month.

The trial is now scheduled for October 31st of next year.

Regional Police say officers got a call in September of 2020 about an assault at a home on Brook Street in North Sydney.

They say paramedics treated the man who was assaulted but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

John Patrick White from Florence is also facing a count of second degree murder in the case.
