NS Reporting Three COVID-19 Deaths, Six Hospitalizations, Local Hospital Outbreak, 421 Cases

The province is reporting three more COVID-19 deaths, as well as six more hospitalizations and a new outbreak in a ward at Glace Bay Hospital.

Health officials say fewer than five patients have tested positive in the latest outbreak at the hospital.

Those who died were two men in their 70’s in the Eastern Zone and a man in his 80’s in the Central Zone.

As of earlier this afternoon, there were 46 people in the province in hospital after being admitted because of COVID-19, including 12 people in intensive care.

The province is also reporting another 421 lab-confirmed cases of the virus today.

Of those cases, 143 are in the Central Zone, with 88 in the Eastern Zone, 105 in the Northern Zone and 85 in the Western Zone.
