DeGiobbi, Luthra Elected In CBU Students’ Union Vote

Cape Breton University students have elected a new Students’ Union President and Vice-President.

Courtney DeGiobbi from New Waterford is now President Elect.

The 22 year-old is a fourth-year BBA student going into the MBA program.

Her running mate and now Executive Vice-President Elect Rahul Luthra is a 25-year-old third-year student from India enrolled in the BBA and BACS programs.

A total of 1,955 students voted in the election.

The results are unofficial for two days after the vote in case of an appeal.

The President and Vice President Elect will take office on May 1st.
