Province Reporting 12 More COVID-19 Hospitalizations, 219 Cases

The province says 12 more people are in hospital after being admitted because of COVID-19, while nine others have been released.

That leaves a total of 91 people in the province in hospital after being admitted because of COVID, including 14 people in intensive care.  

The province is also reporting another outbreak at the Regional Hospital in Sydney.

It says fewer than five patients have tested positive.

There are also 219 new lab-confirmed cases of the virus being reported today.

Of those cases, 81 are in the Central Zone, with 46 in the Eastern Zone, 41 in the Northern Zone and 51 in the Western Zone.

Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.
