Province Extending Ban On Ending Leases For Renovations

The province is extending its ban on ending leases to do renovations.

Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services Minister Colton LeBlanc says the move is being made to continue to protect the province’s most vulnerable people during the pandemic.

The ban came into effect in November 2020 and was scheduled to end on February 1st, or when the COVID-19 state of emergency was lifted, whichever came first.

With the change announced today, the ban is being extended until the state of emergency ends or the ban is repealed, whichever comes first.
