NS Reporting Three COVID-19 Deaths, 18 Hospitalizations, 696 Cases

The province is reporting three more COVID-19 deaths today, as well as 18 more hospitalizations and cases at the Taigh na Mara long-term care home in Glace Bay.

Health officials say a man in his 70’s in the Eastern Zone was among those who died, along with a woman in her 70’s in the Northern Zone and a woman in her 50’s in the Central Zone.

One resident and one staff member have tested positive at Taigh na Mara and Public Health says it’s working with the home to prevent further spread.

There’s now a total of 85 people in the province in hospital after being admitted because of COVID, including 12 people in intensive care.

The province is also reporting 696 new lab-confirmed cases today, including 382 in the Central Zone, 95 in the Eastern Zone, 63 in the Northern Zone and 156 in the Western Zone.
