Province Reporting Three COVID-19 Deaths, 11 Hospitalizations, 527 Cases

The province is reporting three more COVID-19 deaths, 11 more hospital admissions, another outbreak at the Regional Hospital in Sydney and more cases at a local long-term care home.

Health officials say those who died were a man in his 60’s, a man in his 80’s and a woman in her 80’s, all in the Central Zone.

They say five patients have tested positive at a ward at the Regional Hospital and three staff members have tested positive at Harbourstone Enhanced Care in Sydney.

There are now 83 people in the province in hospital who’ve been admitted because of COVID-19, including 12 people in intensive care.

The province is also reporting 527 new lab-confirmed cases of the virus today.

267 of the cases are in the Central Zone, with 144 in the Eastern Zone, 49 in the Northern Zone and 67 in the Western Zone.
