Public Health says it’s notifying people by text when possible if they’ve tested positive for COVID-19.
This comes as health officials face a backlog in contacting positive cases and close contacts.
If people don’t have text, Public Health says it will follow up by phone.
The text message will tell people they’ve tested positive and should quarantine immediately and tell their close contacts.
People will also be asked to register for daily check-ins and will be given information on how to determine when to stop quarantining.
