Province Declares COVID Outbreak at St. FX, Reports 34 New Cases

The province has officially declared a COVID-19 outbreak at St. FX University.

It says Public Health is working with St. FX to prevent any further spread of the virus.

The province is also reporting a total of 34 new cases today.

There are 14 new cases in the Eastern Zone that includes Antigonish and Guysborough Counties as well as Cape Breton.

There are also 13 new cases in the Central Zone, with six in the Northern Zone and one in the Western Zone.

With 18 new recoveries, there’s now a total of 162 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.

Three of those cases are in the Regional Municipality, and one is in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

11 people in the province are in hospital with the virus, including four people in intensive care.
