Cape Breton’s Unemployment Rate 12.4 Percent In November

Stats Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 12.4 percent in November.

That compares with a jobless rate of 11.9 percent in October and 11.6 percent in November of last year.

Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate fell by seven-tenths of a percentage point in November to 6 percent.

That’s the biggest drop since March.

The provincial unemployment rate for November was 7.6 percent.
