Gas And Diesel Take Big Price Drop After Interrupter Clause Invoked

The price of gas took a big drop overnight after the Utility and Review Board invoked its interrupter clause to adjust the price early.

Gas went down by 7.6 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.33.4 in Cape Breton.

Diesel fell by 7.1 cents and now costs a minimum of $1.32.8 a litre on the Island.

The UARB says it dropped fuel prices early because of significant changes in market prices for gas and diesel.
