Province Reports COVID Death, 60 New Cases

The province is reporting another COVID-19 death today, along with 60 new cases of the virus since the last report on Friday.

Health officials say the person who died was a man in his 90’s in the Western Zone.

One of the new cases reported today is in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

There are also 35 new cases in the Central Zone, with 18 in the Northern Zone and six in the Western Zone.

The province is also reporting 88 new recoveries today.

There’s now a total of 193 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including one in the Regional Municipality, and one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

16 people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including seven people in intensive care.
