Recall Of Onions From Mexico Expanded

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has expanded the recall of onions from Mexico sold in the province because of a risk of Salmonella contamination.

The federal agency says Dorsey, MVP, Pier-C, and Riga Farms brands of onions have been added to the list.

The onions come in sizes ranging from bags of 3 pounds to 40 pounds.

All have Product of Mexico on the label, except the Riga Farms onions that say Product of USA, although they come from Mexico.

The food inspection agency says anyone who has the onions should either throw them out or bring them back to the store.
