Health officials say the person who died was a man in his 80’s in the Central Zone.
Four of the cases reported today are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.
65 of the new cases are in the Central Zone with eight in the Western Zone and six in the Northern Zone.
The province is also reporting 46 more recoveries today.
There’s now a total of 205 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in the province, including six in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network, and one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.
11 people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including one person in intensive care.
