Province Reporting Another COVID Death, 41 New Cases

The province is reporting another COVID-19 death today, along with 41 new cases of the virus.

Health officials say the person who died was a woman in her 80’s in the Central Zone.

Two of the latest cases are in the Eastern Zone, that includes Cape Breton, and are close contacts of earlier reported cases.

29 of the new cases are in the Central Zone, with seven in the Northern Zone and three in the Western Zone.

The province is also reporting 20 recoveries today.

There’s now a total of 147 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including eight in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network, and one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

11 people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including one person in intensive care.
