CB Unemployment Rate 12.6 Percent In July

Stats Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 12.6 percent in July.

That compares with a jobless rate of 14.2 percent in June and 16.7 percent in July of last year.

Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate fell to 7.5% in July from 7.8 percent in June.

The federal agency says the national economy added 94,000 jobs last month.
