Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang is asking people to move up their appointment for a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
He says if that doesn’t happen the province may not be able to start lifting more restrictions this month.
The latest numbers show 65.6% of the province’s population has had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
76.5% have had at least one dose.
Meanwhile, the province is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 today.
All four cases are in the Central Zone and are related to travel.
With no recoveries reported today, there’s now a total of 15 known active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.
None of those cases are in Cape Breton.
One person in the province is in hospital with COVID-19 and is being treated in intensive care.
