One New COVID Case In Eastern Zone

The province is reporting one new case of COVID-19 today and it’s in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

Health officials say the person is a close contact of an earlier reported case.

There’s now a total of 37 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.

Those include 15 cases in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network and one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

Three people in the province are in hospital with the virus, and two people are in intensive care.
