Accused In Centre 200 Disturbance Case Released On Conditions

A 31-year-old Bras d’Or man accused of causing a disturbance at the lineup for COVID-19 testing outside Centre 200 has been released on conditions after being arrested again.

Bryan Joseph Bonar is now facing three counts of breaching court orders and a single count of assault.

He was released earlier this month on conditions but was arrested last week and charged with new offences.

Regional Police say Bonar caused a disturbance at the lineup for COVID-19 testing at Centre 200 on May 12.

He’s facing charges including assault with a weapon, causing a disturbance by being intoxicated and two counts of breaching court orders after being arrested on that day.

His release conditions include a 7 pm to 7 am curfew.

He’s due back in court on June 15th.
