NS To Seek Leftover Vaccines From US

Premier Iain Rankin and the other eastern Canadian premiers are looking into getting leftover COVID-19 vaccines from the US.

The statement comes after Rankin and Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont co-chaired a meeting of New England governors and eastern Canadian premiers this morning.

The Premiers and Governors are sending a joint letter to Ottawa and Washington to help get the extra vaccine.

The province says the New England states have reported they have a significant percentage of their population vaccinated and they’re willing to share their leftover vaccine as a way of speeding up the reopening of borders and the economic recovery from the pandemic.
