Injunction Granted Against Anti-Mask Rallies

A Nova Scotia Supreme Court judge today granted a request from the province for an injunction against anti-mask rallies.

While police already had the power to fine people taking part in large gatherings, Premier Iain Rankin told reporters today the injunction gives officers more authority.

He says they’ll be able to make arrests to enforce the court order.

Rallies protesting public health restrictions were scheduled for tomorrow in Halifax and Sydney.
