The province is reporting 110 new cases of COVID-19 today.
83 of those cases are in the Central Zone, 12 are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton, nine are in the Western Zone and six are in the Northern Zone.
The province says 8 people in a non-COVID unit at the Halifax Infirmary have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been moved to a COVID unit.
Those who worked in the affected non-COVID unit are being tested as a precaution.
With 155 new recoveries reported today, there’s now a total of 1,572 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.
118 active cases have been confirmed in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network, while 16 have been confirmed in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.
85 people in the province are in hospital with the virus, including 15 in intensive care.
Premier Iain Rankin and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon.
