The province is reporting 44 new cases of COVID-19 today, along with seven new variant cases.
It says there’s been a higher number of case investigations in recent days and health officials will no longer be giving regular breakdowns of how everyone got infected.
However, the province does say there are 33 new cases in the Central Zone where there are signs of community spread.
It says there are no signs of community spread in the other health zones.
Five new cases are being reported in the Eastern Zone today, with four new cases in the Western Zone and two in the Northern Zone.
Seven UK variant cases have been found among previously reported cases.
There’s now a total of 150 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including 23 in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network and two in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.
Four people in the province are in hospital with the virus.
