The province is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 today, including another case in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.
It’s also reporting 18 more UK variant cases have been found among earlier reported cases.
Health officials say the new case in Cape Breton County is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.
The other new case is in the Central Zone and is related to travel outside the country.
Of the latest variant cases, ten were travel-related, seven were close contacts of previously reported cases and one is under investigation.
Health officials say many of the newly identified variant cases are now resolved.
There’s now a total of 42 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including a total of 6 in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.
Three people in the province are in hospital with the virus.
