There are reports of flooding around the Cape Breton Regional Municipality; high water levels closed a stretch of Townsend Street in Sydney early yesterday evening.
Environment Canada says the municipality received just over 70 millimetres of rain yesterday; today’s forecast is calling for another 15 millimetres before tapering off to showers tonight.
