Cape Breton motorists and off-road vehicle enthusiasts can expect to see more Regional Police officers on the municipality’s roads this month.
The “Safe Spring” project will focus on speed enforcement and the proper use of ATVs.
A first offence for exceeding the speed limit by just 1-15-kilometres/an hour is just over 230 dollars.
ATVs, dirt bikes or other off-road vehicles can’t be driven on streets, sidewalks, or highways.
Fines under the Off-Highway Vehicles Act range between $400 and $1,000.
