The province is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 today and one new variant case has been found among previously reported cases.
There’s one new case each in the Central and Western Zones and both are related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.
The new variant case is a UK variant found in the Central Zone and related to travel outside the country.
Health officials say there’s no sign of community spread from the variant case.
There’s now a total of 23 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.
None of those cases are in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network while there’s one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.
Premier Iain Rankin and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon.
