Battiste Announces Fish Plant Funding

Sydney-Victoria Liberal MP Jaime Battiste announced federal money for fish plants in the riding today.

Northside Processing Limited in North Sydney is getting a $450,000 loan for packaging machinery that will create up to 12 new jobs.

The company is also getting $50,000 to install thermal body temperature scanners in its production facilities.

Victoria Co-Operative Fisheries Limited in Neil’s Harbour is also getting a $450,000 loan.

It will use the money for a new storage building and ice making equipment.

The company is also getting $50,000 for health and safety equipment that will allow the plant to meet COVID-19 requirements.
