Feds Announce Funding For Sydport Business

Polysteel Atlantic in Sydport is getting a $204,000 loan from the federal government.

The company plans to use the money for equipment and automation upgrades to its manufacturing line and control systems.

Ottawa says the improvements will allow it to streamline production and reduce maintenance costs.

Polysteel can produce up to six million pounds of high strength synthetic rope a year.
