The first COVID-19 vaccination clinic for people 80 and older is starting later this month as the province continues to expand its vaccine rollout.
The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Strang, says vaccinations will be done in declining five year blocks from the oldest people to the youngest.
The first clinic will be by invitation only and will be held in Halifax on February 22nd.
Those eligible to participate will be contacted directly by mail to schedule their appointments.
The province says nine more clinics for people 80 and older are being planned for next month, including in Cape Breton.
