Man Attacked In Glace Bay Home Dies In Hospital

Regional police say a 51-year-old man who was assaulted in his Glace Bay home on January 18th has died in hospital.

Police say investigators are now waiting for autopsy results to verify the cause of death and they continue to treat the attack as an isolated incident.

They say someone entered the Brookland Street home of David Sheppard, assaulted him and the ran away.

Sheppard was taken to the Regional Hospital in Sydney and later airlifted to Halifax for further treatment of his injuries.

Police say anyone with information on the attack should call their general number or Crime Stoppers.
