The province is reporting one new case of COVID-19 today.
The case is in the Central Zone and is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.
There’s now a total of 11 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.
No one in the province is in hospital with the virus.
The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang says he’s been hearing from people who want to travel, but he’s telling people now is not the time to travel internationally or even elsewhere in the country.
Strang also told reporters today the province is planning to set up a vaccination clinic for people over 80 at the IWK in Halifax as part of the first phase of the vaccine rollout .
He says they’re still working on how people will be invited and the clinic is expected to be running by mid to late February.
