Manhunt Continues Today In Meat Cove Area

The RCMP is telling people in the Meat Cove area to continue to stay inside with their doors locked as the search continues today for Perry MacKinnon.

The Mounties say they used helicopters with Forward Looking InfraRed in the search of MacKinnon last night and a helicopter is being used in the search, today.

Police say MacKinnon is wanted on multiple warrants, and he ran into the woods with a gun when officers came looking for him, yesterday.

He’s described as 5’9” tall and weighing 199 pounds.

He was last seen in a camouflage jacket and blue track pants and police say anyone who sees him should not approach him and call 911.
