Police Review Board Appeal Taking Place In Sydney, Today

The province’s Police Review Board is hearing an appeal today on a decision made by Cape Breton Regional Police about a public complaint.

Vince Garnier filed the complaint.

He’s the father of Chris Garnier.

The younger Garner was convicted of second-degree murder and interfering with a dead body in the 2015 death of Catherine Campbell in Halifax.

He later appealed the conviction, but the appeal was dismissed in July.

The hearing is scheduled to start at 9:30 this morning at the Holiday Inn in Sydney.
