Christmas Holiday Closings

There’s just hours left for people still hoping to get some last minute Christmas shopping done.

Some stores could be closing a bit earlier on this Christmas Eve, including the Mayflower Mall that shuts down at 4:00 this afternoon.

Stores and liquor stores will be closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Meanwhile, the Regional Municipality says all garbage, blue bags and green carts normally collected on Friday’s will be picked up on Monday, December 28th instead.

Regular garbage pickup will still go ahead on Saturday, December 26th.

Transit Cape Breton buses won’t be running on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
