Apartment Fire In Glace Bay, Last Night

Crews from the Glace Bay and Reserve Mines Fire Departments fought a fire in an apartment building in Glace Bay, last night.

The Glace Bay Department says there was heavy fire in the attic of the South Street building and smoke through the rest of the building.

It says the fire was brought under control in 45 minutes with crews remaining on the scene for three hours.

There are no injuries reported.

The Red Cross helped some people who live in the building with temporary lodging for the night.
