Canada has become the third country in the world to approve Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccine has already been approved in the UK and Bahrain.
The approval in this country was announced by Health Canada today after scientists reviewed Pfizer’s clinical trial data for two months.
The Department says the vaccine is 95% effective.
News of the vaccine’s approval comes after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced earlier this week 249,000 doses are expected to arrive in the country by the end of the month.
