12 People In Halifax Fined $1,000.00 Each For Breaking Gathering Limit

Halifax Police have fined 12 people a thousand dollars each for breaking COVID-19 gathering limits.

Police say they got called to a public path on Oakland Road in the south end of Halifax at 10:30, last night.

They say the caller was concerned about a number of people who were too close to each other.

Police say officers found a group people on a small dock who weren’t properly distancing from one another.

Gathering limits in the Halifax area have been reduced to a maximum of five people without physical distancing.
