John S. Eyking Named Member of the Order of Canada

The founder of the Eyking Farms family business in Millville has been named as a member of the Order of Canada today.

John S. Eyking established the business when he bought his own farm after emigrating from the Netherlands in 1963.

He’s getting the honour for what’s described as his personal and professional dedication to the Cape Breton community, particularly within the agriculture industry.

Eyking is one of 114 new appointments announced to the order today.

His appointment will formally be recognized at a ceremony to be held at a future date.
