NS Reports 11 More COVID Cases As Atlantic Bubble Bursts

The province is reporting 11 new COVID-19 cases today.

It says all of the new cases are in the Central Zone.

Eight are connected to earlier reported cases and three are under investigation.

There are now 51 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in the province.

The latest cases are being reported after the Atlantic Bubble burst today with news PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador are leaving the bubble for at least two weeks.

That means people from within the Atlantic bubble will be required to quarantine for 14 days when entering those provinces.

The Council of Atlantic Premiers is recommending caution today around non-essential travel within the Region.

Premier Stephen McNeil and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 briefing at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.
