A Cape Breton family has filed a complaint against a Halifax dentist, accusing him of assaulting a six-year-old girl.
Ryan Binder says his daughter Peyton was referred to the Halifax dentist by one in Sydney. He accuses the doctor of covering her nose and mouth with his hand and yelling at her during the appointment.
The dentist denies the family’s account; however, no other details can be given due to patient-doctor confidentiality.
The Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia says it’s investigating the complaint, and Halifax Regional Police say they’re also investigating the matter.
