by A group that provides holiday dinner for 300 families in the Glace Bay area every Christmas has set up an online fundraiser in a bid to continue the tradition this year.
The Christmas Crew says they can’t afford to make the event happen because of the effect COVID-19 has had on a fundraiser for it.
They say many businesses in the area aren’t able to donate items for the auction at the Glace Bay Fire Hall because they’re hurting financially during the pandemic.
The Christmas Crew hopes to raise $20,000 in a month through its Go Fund Me campaign.
