Victoria County Councillors Being Sworn-in Today

Councillors in Victoria County are being sworn in this afternoon after last month’s municipal election.

The council session is due to get underway at 2:00 in Baddeck.

The swearing-in was supposed to happened yesterday.

However, it was postponed because a closure of the Trans Canada after a fatal vehicle crash meant some councillors couldn’t get to Baddeck.

Meanwhile, Cape Breton Regional Council is expected to be sworn in on Thursday.
