Three new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia; one in Eastern Zone

Provincial health authorities say they’ve identified three new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, one in the zone that includes Cape Breton Island.

The Eastern Zone case was diagnosed in another province, and that person also recovered in that province.

The other two cases were found in the Central Zone.

Authorities say all three new cases are related to travel outside of Canada.

The new cases bring the total number of known active cases of the respiratory infection in the province to six.

1,100 Nova Scotians have tested positive for the novel coronavirus since the pandemic began; 65 people have died.

1,029 Nova Scotians have recovered from COVID-19.
