McNeil Shuffles Cabinet

Premier Stephen McNeil shuffled his cabinet this morning after three former ministers resigned to run in the provincial Liberal leadership.

Leo Glavine is returning to his old post as Minister of Health.

Lunenburg MLA Suzanne Lohnes-Croft is moving into cabinet to take over from Glavine at Communities, Culture and Heritage.

She’s also Minister of Gaelic Affairs.

Lena Metlege Diab is the new Labour and Advanced Education Minister.

She’ll also continue to hold the posts of Minister of Immigration and Acadian Affairs.

And Sydney-Whitney Pier MLA Derek Mombourquette adds the portfolio of Lands and Forestry along with his current post as Minister of Energy and Mines.
