by The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation says its first quarter results for 2020 are unprecedented with people buying more from its stores with bars, pubs and restaurants closed because of COVID-19.
It says sales increased 5.3 per cent to 184.2 million dollars in the period from April 1st to June 28th.
The Liquor Corporation says there was a 24.4 per cent drop in the number of sales with people making fewer trips to its stores.
But the average dollar value of each sale increased 46.4 per cent.
There was a 6.8 per cent increase in earnings in the first quarter compared to the same period in the last fiscal year.
