Cecil Clark Seeking Third Term As Mayor

Cecil Clarke says he plans to seek re-election as Mayor of the Regional Municipality.

Clarke made the announcement by video this morning on his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Clarke acknowledges he said he planned to step down after this term, following his 2016 win.

But he says the COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything.

There are now four candidates in the race for mayor.

The other contenders are District 8 Councillor Amanda McDougall, Chris Abbass from North Sydney, and former Sydney Mines Councillor Archie MacKinnon.
