Doucette Nominated By NDP

The provincial New Democrats have announced Madonna Doucette will be carrying the party’s banner in the Sydney-Membertou riding in the next election.

Doucette has worked with the Ally Centre of Cape Breton and currently works with the Youth Project.

Doucette has for run the provincial NDP in the Sydney area in 2015 and 2017.

Both of those races were won by Liberal Cabinet Minister Derek Mombourquette.

Bobby grew up in Whycocomagh before moving to Halifax to attend university where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Journalism degree.
