Teachers, Students Back To Class On Sept. 8th

Students and teachers will be back in Nova Scotia classrooms on September 8th.

The province’s back to school plan includes a full curriculum.

There will be no sharing of supplies or food and teachers are being encouraged to move class outside if possible.

Masks are required in high school hall ways.

Everyone will have to wear a mask on buses.

In-school assemblies and other large gatherings will not be allowed.

Classrooms are being reorganized to increase spacing  and classes will be treated as a bubble to minimize contact with other students.

The province says the back to school plan was developed with survey feedback from more than 28,000 parents and students as well as input from union and education partners.

There will be regular handwashing or hand sanitizing by students and staff before entering school for classes and throughout the day.
