RCMP Officer Facing Child Pornography Charges

An RCMP officer is facing child pornography charges after an investigation by the province’s police watchdog.

The Serious Incident Response Team says Constable Jeffrey Hirsch is facing charges of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Hirsch is based in the RCMP’s Southwest Nova District.

The SIRT says they started investigating the case in March after they were contacted by the RCMP.

Hirsch is due in court in Bridgewater on August 12th.
